British triple murder suspect pleads guilty to firearm and immigration charges

British triple murder suspect, Ndodana Tshuma, accused of murdering his wife and two daughters, has pleaded guilty to the illegal possession of a firearm and contravening the Immigration Act.

The 45-year-old was arrested in Kensington in July after the South African Police Service (SAPS), through INTERPOL, received a request from United Kingdom authorities to trace and arrest him following the issuance of a warrant of arrest.

British authorities allege he fled the UK before the bodies of his wife, 42-year-old Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, and the couple’s daughters, 15-year-old Natalie and five-year-old Nala, were found at their home in Great Denham, England.

It is alleged that he intended to take his own life using the firearm he was found in possession of when he was arrested.

According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Tshuma initially entered South Africa legally through OR Tambo International Airport on 5 July 2026. His immigration status subsequently changed as a result of his fugitive status.

Under the Immigration Act, he is considered a prohibited and undesirable person and is therefore in the country illegally.

The State has revealed that it has received all the required documentation from UK authorities in support of the extradition proceedings.
