Bafana Bafana head coach, Hugo Broos, has named his final 26-member squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Broos announced the team at the Sefako Makgatho Presidential Guest House in Pretoria on Wednesday. He was joined by President Cyril Ramaphosa, Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture, Gayton McKenzie, and South African Football Association (SAFA) President, Danny Jordaan.

Ramaphosa congratulated the players, saying they would serve South Africa’s ambassadors during the tournament, which will be held in North America. This year’s FIFA World Cup will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico from 11 June to 19 July 2026.

As part of preparations for the global showpiece, Bafana Bafana will play their final match on home soil against Nicaragua at the Orlando Stadium on Friday at 6pm.
