The murder case involving media personality, Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock, is set to move to the High Court after the State confirmed that investigations into his killing have been completed.

Victor Majola, believed to be the alleged mastermind, and Armando Pacula, accused of carrying out the fatal shooting, appeared briefly in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday in connection with Stock’s murder in the Johannesburg CBD in December last year.

The two accused face charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder after Stock was gunned down in what investigators believe was a targeted hit.

State prosecutor, Vincent Mochabela, told the court that investigations into the matter have now been finalised.

“Our investigations are complete and therefore it should be in terms of Section 75-2 of the Criminal Procedure Act. State requests the matter to be transferred to the High Court.”

The matter has been postponed to 18 June for pre-trial proceedings.

Proceedings previously focused on outstanding investigations, including cellphone analysis, financial records linked to the accused, call data and facial comparison investigations.

Majola was earlier denied bail after the court found that his release would not be in the interests of justice, while Pacula, a Mozambican national, abandoned his bail application and remains in custody alongside his co-accused.
