The murder case of media personality Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock has been postponed to 27 May, after the State indicated that crucial parts of its investigation are still incomplete.

Victor Majola, believed to be the alleged mastermind, and Armando Pacula, the alleged gunman, appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

The pair face charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Stock was gunned down in December last year in the Johannesburg CBD, in what investigators believe was a targeted shooting.

The State told the court that the matter is not yet trial-ready, citing outstanding investigative work.

State prosecutor, Vincent Mochabela, says financial records linked to the accused have not yet been finalised, while key digital evidence, including call data and cellphone analysis, is still being processed.

He further revealed that additional forensic work remains incomplete, delaying the progression of the case.

Mochabela says facial comparison analysis has not yet been concluded, and the indictment required to transfer the matter to the High Court is still being drafted.

The State maintains that the murder was premeditated, alleging that Majola orchestrated the hit, while Pacula carried out the fatal shooting. Majola was previously denied bail after the court found that his release would not be in the interests of justice.

Pacula, a Mozambican national, abandoned his bail application and remains in custody.

The matter has been postponed several times as investigations continue and efforts are made to consolidate the case against both accused. With key evidence still outstanding, the State requested a further postponement to finalise its case.

The matter is expected to return to court on 27 May 2026.
