Orlando Pirates coach, Abdeslam Ouaddou, has had to face tough questions about the changes he has made to his team, after choosing new signings over players who were regulars last season under former coach Jose Riveiro.
Following back-to-back losses in the Betway Premiership, Ouaddou has come under scrutiny.
New signings including Sipho Mbule, Sihle Nduli, Kamogelo Sebelebele, Yanela Mbuthuma, Tshepang Moremi, Sinoxolo Kwayiba, Tshepo Mashiloane, Abdoulaye Mariko, Oswin Appollis, and Lebone Seema have all had minutes within the first three matches played by the club.
This has meant they’ve taken spots previously held by last season’s regulars Thalente Mbatha, Makhehlene Makhaula, Deano van Rooyen, Bandile Shandu, Evidence Makgopa, and Tshegofatso Mabasa.
“We have talented players, we have good players and a big squad. Everybody is important, like I said, for the club. And everybody will get the possibility to compete and to show what he is able to bring for the club,” said Ouaddou.
