There seems to be no end to Diddy’s troubles as his lawyers reveal that he is having a hard time adjusting to prison food.
Sean “Diddy” Combs, who has been behind bars since September 17, returned to court on Thursday, where he was remanded in prison and a trial date for his case was set for May next year.
The 54-year-old music mogul is accused of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution, which he vehemently denies.
His troubles started after his ex-girlfriend, Cassie, filed a lawsuit accusing him of rape and abuse. They later settled the matter outside court.
His lawyers have expressed that Diddy is facing tough conditions in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Centre, where he’s being held after being denied bail twice.
One of his legal representatives, Anthony L. Ricco, says the music tycoon is adjusting to his situation.
Ricco is working on appealing Diddy’s bail denial.
Diddy’s children and his mother, Janice, were at court to support him.
Janice flew from Florida to support her son days after she released a letter defending him.
She believes that Diddy is being judged for a narrative created out of lies.
Her statement came days after state prosecutors revealed that the hip hop mogul could face lawsuits from about 120 additional accusers for alleged sexual assault, rape and sexual exploitation.
“It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies. […] My son may not have been entirely truthful about certain things, such as denying he has ever gotten violent with an… pic.twitter.com/z33lrKVMh9

In a motion filed on Wednesday, Diddy’s lawyers accused the Department of Homeland Security of orchestrating the leak of the 2016 infamous video of Diddy beating Cassie to CNN.
They say this was done to taint Diddy’s image.
In the video that was shared widely – Combs is seen physically attacking Cassie, grabbing her by the neck before he threw her to the ground, kicked her and dragged her down the hallway.
His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, told journalists that he has asked the judge to impose a “gag order” prohibiting prosecutors and federal agents from disclosing evidence to the media.
Also, this week, broadcaster Piers Morgan had to apologise to stars Jay-Z and Beyoncé following the airing of an interview with singer Jaguar Wright – who made damning allegations against the couple.
In the interview, Wright claimed that Jay Z did worse things than Diddy and accused him of being involved in satanic rituals using young girls, amongst others.
