Singer Cassie’s friend and musical collaborator, songwriter Tiffany Red has backed the singer’s claims that her ex, Sean ‘Diddy” Combs was sexually abusive towards her.
In an open letter published in Rolling Stone, Red has described witnessing the alleged abuse which she says left her “tormented”.
Cassie Ventura filed a lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend in November, accusing Combs of forcing her to take substances and have sex with multiple male sex workers as he watched.
Red says everything in Ventura’s lawsuit was consistent with what she witnessed working alongside the artist as a songwriter and close confidant.
She detailed occasions where she heard Combs yelling at Ventura and making threats, often seeing her so high she was afraid of her overdosing.
At least four women have come out accusing Combs of sexual assault, with the latest being a 17-year-old girl accusing the music mogul of gang rape.
Combs has since taken to social media to deny the allegations, saying he would no longer sit silently and allow people to assassinate his character.
