There are mixed reactions to Janet Jackson’s replacement acts for the DStv Delicious Festival.

The organisers today announced that music stars Jason Derulo and Busta Rhymes will be taking to the stage as this year’s headliners on Saturday.

R&B singer, Janet Jackson, pulled out of the festival following the death of her brother, Tito, on Sunday.

“Following recent changes to the festival line-up, including Janet Jackson’s withdrawal due to her brother Tito Jackson’s recent passing, the festival organisers have worked tirelessly to ensure the experience remains extraordinary for fans,” the organisers said in a statement.

Following Jackson’s withdrawal, organisers had given ticket holders a change of their tickets to the Sunday session.

Twelve-time Grammy Award nominated artist, Busta Rhymes, is known for hits like I Know What You Want and Make it Clap, and his unique style of rapping. He has also worked with renowned artists like Missy Elliott and Mariah Carey.

Meanwhile, Derulo, with hit songs like Whatchu Say, Savage Love is an international pop sensation, who has sold over 200 million records worldwide.

While some social media users are excited to see Busta Rhymes, others are looking for an opportunity to change their tickets, sell them or get a refund.

On Sunday, world-renowned singers, Jill Scott and Thandiswa Mazwai, however, remain on the lineup of the two-day festival.

It is understood that there will also be musical tributes to Kiernan “AKA”, HHP, Lebo Mathosa, Mandoza, Pro Kid, Johnny Clegg and Riky Rick.
