Cholera death toll climbs to 20

The death toll from the cholera outbreak in Hammanskraal has risen to 20. Gauteng MEC for Health, Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko, confirmed the rise in fatalities while presenting her department's Budget Vote for the 2023/24 financial year earlier today. The Cholera death toll in Hammanskraal, in Tshwane, has risen to 17. The Gauteng Health Department says 67 patients are currently being treated for gastrointestinal infection.
