National Police Spokesperson, Athlenda Mathe, says investigations suggest that one of the Ndimande brothers was the gunman who fatally shot Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes’ life.

Siyabonga and Malusi were extradited to South Africa from Eswatini today. The brothers, who are originally from KwaZulu-Natal, were arrested while hiding in Eswatini, claiming they fled due to taxi-related violence.

They are also linked to several other murder cases, including the killing of a taxi boss in Amanzimtoti in 2022.

AKA and his chef friend, Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane, were gunned down on Florida Road, in Durban two years ago.

The brothers will join the five other accused who are in custody, facing charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.

Mathe says they are ready for the trial, scheduled for July next year.

“We are confident that the evidence we have gathered is enough to secure a successful conviction. We do believe that the two brothers can be positively placed on the crime scene, where AKA and Tibz died.”

Mathe says the extradition of the two brothers is a significant moment for SAPS.

“We are dealing with two professional hitmen, they are contract killers, they kill for a living, and they get paid to kill. We are confident in the case that we have against them.”

Meanwhile, AKA’s father, Tony Forbes, says that while he has forgiven his son’s killers, questions remain over who ordered the hit.

“If I had to talk to them, for me, what we must not forget is that the person who commissioned this is not among the seven arrested.

“My question is, who commissioned this? Where did it start?, Who is behind this?, Those are the questions that are the most relevant for me.”

Forbes also commended the work of the police and the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in his pursuit of justice.

Justice Warriors, the wait ends in chains, today, November 11, 2025, brothers Malusi “Mjay” Dave Ndimande (29) and Siyabonga “Nxele” Gezane Ndimande (30) touched down at Durban’s King Shaka International Airport, extradited from Eswatini after months of legal tug-of-war. 💔🚨 These alleged hit squad kingpins now face the storm: at least four counts of murder, two counts of conspiracy to commit murder, and attempted murder. But the charges that burn brightest? The cold-blooded hits on Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his ride-or-die Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, gunned down outside a Florida Road restaurant in February 2023, a night that silenced SA’s megastar and left a nation in black. Arrested in Mbabane back in February 2024 by a joint SAPS-Interpol squad, the Ndimandes fought tooth and nail against extradition, appeals dropped in October, surrender orders sealed. Police paint Malusi as one of the shooters, pocketed R133,000 for the plot; Siyabonga as the orchestrator pulling strings from the shadows. Now, they’re shuffling into Durban Magistrate’s Court TODAY, faces gaunt under the weight of a nation’s grief. KZN Police Commissioner Lt-Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi vows: “No borders for blood money, we bring them home for justice.” Warriors, AKA’s “Lemons (Lemonade)” still slaps, but this? It’s the remix we needed: accountability over ashes. For Kiernan’s daughter Kai, for Tibz’s family, for every fan who lit a candle, life sentences or bust. The streets that birthed this hit must birth healing too. Tag a Megacy member. Share the roar. Court feed drops soon, we watch, we witness, we win. #JusticeForAKA #JusticeForTibz #NdimandeExtradited #DurbanCourt #AKAMurderCase
