Kaizer Chiefs coach, Nasreddine Nabi, says the club is exploring loan moves for some players ahead of the transfer window closing next Monday.

Chiefs have signed 11 new players this season, in a bid to close the gap on their rivals and hopefully compete for the league.

Amakhosi now have over 40 players, and Nabi says it’s challenging to ensure everyone gets enough game time.

“Yes, it’s true that the squad is big and the technical staff and management through the sporting director Mr. Kaizer Junior, the club is working on options to try to offload the squad,” Nabi said.

Several players struggling for game time could look to flourish elsewhere.

Striker Tashreeq Morris, goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari, left-back Happy Mashiane, and midfielder Samkelo Zwane are among those who could move, either on loan or permanently.

“About the players that can go on loan or can stay, there is some situation that you feel that the player has potential when he’s at Kaizer Chiefs but he doesn’t have the consistency to play everyday, that’s the thing that we want to address as well in those situations,” the coach added.

Chiefs face Sekhukhune United on Tuesday evening in a Betway Premiership clash. The winner at FNB Stadium will overtake Sundowns at the top of the table.
