Ciara dreams of collab with Tyla

Unstoppable and groundbreaking global music icon, Tyla, has now caught the eye of fellow award- winning artist, Ciara.

The popular R&B artist has been in the industry for over two decades and has won multiple awards including at the Grammys, BETs, MTV VMAs, amongst others.

She has also gone into acting and most recently starred in the 2023 film adaptation of The Colour Purple.

In a recent interview as the cover star of L’Officiel USA, Ciara revealed that her dream is to work with the 23-year-old Johannesburg-born singer and writer, saying her music is infectious and makes a person want to dance.

The “Water” hitmaker, who is setting trends and breaking barriers by blending her South African musical heritage with global pop sounds, has already won multiple awards for her captivating songs.

And her star just keeps rising. She will be sharing the stage with the likes of Missy Elliot, Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone, Travis Scott and Megan Thee Stallion, amongst other stars, at one of the globe’s grandest arts and music festival, Coachella, which kicks off today and will run until Good Friday.

The Edenvale-born superstar was also recently named as iconic jewellery brand Pandora’s newest ambassador.

While some social media users believe Tyla and Ciara would make a great collaboration, others have dismissed the R&B singer’s assertions as an attempt at relevance.
