ASAP Rocky thanks God for not guilty verdict

American rapper, ASAP Rocky, says: “All praise be to God,” after emerging victorious in his firearm case.

The Grammy-nominated star was accused of shooting a former friend, ASAP Relli, after an altercation in Hollywood in 2021. Relli alleged that the 36-year-old of firing two shots at him, grazing his knuckles.

After a three-week-long trial, the jury reached a verdict and spared the Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist from a lengthy prison sentence.

In an emotional court proceeding, Rocky and his partner, Rihanna, broke into tears as the jury handed down the judgment.

“It’s been a crazy experience, but I’m so grateful,” ASAP Rocky shared outside court.

The father of two described the entire experience as “crazy”.

“I want to thank the jury for making the right decisions. I’m just so thankful. This whole experience has been crazy over the past four years,” he added.
