Women urged not to over-compromise for love as 2Baba shows off new girl

“There is no reward in tolerating misery in a relationship,” are some of the sentiments shared by many social media users after Nigerian musician Innocent “2Baba” Idibia’s recent post on his new partner.

2Baba announced separation from his wife, Annie, last month after a string of cheating allegations and her sticking by his side – even taking the five children he sired outside their marriage as her own.

Some social media users say the duo’s crumbling marriage is a classic example that there is no formula for a relationship to work nor a prize in enduring suffering for love.

The famous Nigerian couple first met when Annie was 15 years old and 2Baba was 24. They got married in 2012 and have two daughters.

Amid backlash over his seemingly lack of appreciation for his soon-to-be ex-wife’s enduring love, the Nigerian musician has come out in defense of his new lover – asking the public to leave her alone.

“Everyone is going to be alright. Honourable Natasha (Oswaru) is a young, brilliant woman, and she has nothing to do with what’s happening between me and Annie.”

A video of 2Baba, allegedly, proposing to Natasha has since gone viral on social media.

The musician’s new lover is a law and film graduate, who is a member of the Edo State House of Assembly.

Despite backlash on 2Baba, not everyone believes that Annie, an actress, entrepreneur, and philanthropist is just an innocent victim of love.

They’ve dug up a 2022 video of her brother, Wisdom, accusing her of being an evil, drug addict who treated him like her “ice boy”.
