Musician, Asanda “Msaki” Mvana is set to close the curtain with her much-anticipated concert, Camagu in Symphony: 10 Years of Gratitude, which will be held next week Thursday at the SunBet Arena.
The Fetch Your Life hitmaker is celebrating a decade in the industry as she hangs her mic.
The 35-year-old gave us masterpieces such as “Ubomi Abumanga”, “Izinto Zobomi”, “Selah, Khusela” and “Nangomso”, among others.
She’s worked with some of the country’s best in the music industry, including Sun-el Musician, Prince Kaybee, Black Motion, Tressor, Simmy and groups such as the Beatenberg.
In a heart-to-heart interview with the host of Y’s Drivetime show, Ayanda MVP, Msaki described her 10 years in music as a big gratitude festival.
“The other thing that makes me grateful is that I’ve actually enjoyed so much dedicated support and a really intelligent audience that follows me to every genre.”
Msaki says she appreciates that people understand that she is a storyteller.
Onother thing, she says, she remains grateful for is connecting with people through music.
Msaki says her music is always personal because it starts with healing herself before healing others.
“It has to be authentic if it’s going to do anything for my heart and then once it’s done then I can give it away for other people to hear.”
