Actress, Itumeleng Bokaba, has broken her silence saying she is ready to go to court and tell her truth.
Bokaba has accused Nhlamulo ‘Nota’ Baloyi of raping her while visiting his home.
The pair have been a hot topic since the allegations surfaced on social media.
Nota has since obtained a protection order against Bokaba, which she may have violated by speaking about him on social media.
It is understood that the order prohibits Bokaba from post anything about Nota on digital platforms or get in touch with him under any circumstance, among others.
In a nine-minute-long video, Bokaba is heard assuring her fans and supporters that she is okay and they should not be alarmed by her silence.
“I’m okay, I’m dealing, such is life.”
The actress is sticking to her guns that she was raped by Nota. She says she has no business trying to destroy someone else’s life.
“Something happened, so I went to the law because of something that happened to me, something that is true.”
She has also urged the public to refrain from speculation and let the law take its course.
“I do not want to give so much information out there that the person I am going up against knows exactly where my mind is at, so that they can come up with whatever theories they like come the day they have to go to court.”
Bokaba says even if the court decides not to prosecute, people should not assume that she lied.
“I cannot predict what the outcome of the case will be, but all I know is that I am not telling a lie.”
Nota who is currently out on R5 000 bail maintains that the rape allegations are a set-up.
In one of the podcasts, he claims that Bokaba wanted a relationship with him so that she could be famous.
He says he will fight tooth and nail to prove his innocence.
