CR7 breaks another record, with new Youtube channel

Renowned footballer and most followed on Instagram, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to break more records, with his brand new YouTube channel securing over 21 million subscribers in just over a day.

Cementing how appreciated and loved he is by football fans, Ronaldo’s latest project managed to get 1 million followers in less than 90 minutes after it launched.

The channel is set to mainly focus on his life off the pitch and feature his wife, Georgina Rodriguez, as well as his son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.

As one of the most loved stars and athletes, Ronaldo always exceeds expectations whether on the field or off.

The most subscribed YouTube channel in the world belongs to Mr Beast, with 311m subscribers – which took him 132 days to reach 10 million subscribers whilst Ronaldo did that in less than 12 hours.

The 39 year old has already got his hands on a YouTube Gold Play Button and presented it to his family.

Ronaldo is set to receive the YouTube Diamond Play Button, for getting over 10 million subscribers, an accolade that many YouTubers spend years to achieve.

He has also surpassed some of his fellow athletes such as Tom Brady (47.1k) and Lionel Messi (2.35m).

19 videos have already been posted and most have had over 1 million views each.

Fans hope he will share some behind-the-scenes footage at Al Nassr, in the upcoming Saudi Pro League season, where he is currently playing.

Other records Ronaldo has broken include him:

– Scoring over 890 official senior career goals for club and country, which makes him the world’s top goal scorer of all time (according to records by Fifa).

– He is also Portugal’s youngest and oldest goal scorer at the World Cup. He scored his first goal at 21 in the 2006 World Cup and at 37 in 2022.

– Ronaldo holds the records for most appearances (183) and goals (140) in the Champions League, and most appearances (30) and goals (14) in the European Championship.

– He holds the record for most overall international appearances by a male player, with 212 caps.

– Ronaldo is also the most-followed person on Instagram, with 636 million followers.
