Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande, who are linked to the killing of Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane, will be extradited from Eswatini.

Earlier today, the Manzini Magistrates’ Court granted South Africa’s request for the two accused to join the five in custody in Durban.

Magistrate David Khumalo says the evidence, including cellphones, tracker reports and video footage presented by the applicants, constitutes enough grounds to extradite the pair.

The brothers, who are originally from a family that is involved in the taxi industry in KZN, were arrested in Eswatini in February.

They claimed they had fled South Africa due to taxi violence. It is alleged that they are also linked to three separate murders, which took place in Amanzimtoti and Berea in KZN.

AKA and Tibz were gunned down outside Wish restaurant on Durban’s famous Florida road in February 2022.

The seven accused in the matter face charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition relating to the murder of the hip-hop star and his friend.

So far, the Durban Magistrates’ Court has heard that AKA was the target on the night he was killed.

It is alleged that he had been followed from the moment he landed at King Shaka International Airport till the time of his death.

It was also revealed in court that the more than R800 000 paid into accused number four’s bank account on the night that AKA was killed came from a company owned by Sydney Mfundo Gcaba, who comes from one of the most feared families that run a taxi empire in KZN.

According to the state, the bank account was opened and closed the day of AKA was murdered.
