Political commentator, Brooks Spector, says there is only two people that could probably get the Joe Biden to step down from office.

Speaking to YNews, Spector says Jill Biden and Nancy Pelosi, a good friend of Biden, could be the people that can convince him to make that tough decision.

This comes amid mounting calls for the US President to consider leaving the baton to someone else due to growing concerns over his mental health and ability to lead.

Biden has had tongues wagging in many instances where he mixed up names, called himself a ‘black woman’ to him wandering off when at public events.

On Thursday, the 81-year-old called Ukrainian president, Putin, instead of Zelensky.

He also referred to the US vice president, Kamala Harris, as Trump – his political rival.

Biden is currently in a cutthroat race for a second term in the White House, against former President Donald Trump, who is said to be gaining popularity.

Addressing the media on the final day of the NATO summit in Washington DC, Biden said he is the most qualified candidate to run the presidential race.

Since his dismal performance at the presidential debate against Trump last month, Biden has faced many calls to quit the race for the White House and make way for a younger successor.

According to reports though, former president Barack Obama and Pelosi have spoken privately about Biden and the future of his 2024 campaign, allegedly expressing concerns about how much harder they think it’s become for him to beat Trump.

However, Brooks says, the US President could come out victorious in the November polls, despite all the talks around him.

International relations expert, Professor John Stremlau, says the Democratic Party’s main focus is for Biden to win the elections – at all costs.

Speaking to Ynews, Stremlau, says Biden’s age is something that Americans could, however, be worried about.

Social media users have been divided over this issue, with some supporting the calls for Biden to step down – while others say he can do it.
