Tyla’s ‘sands of time’ look at Met Gala gets the nod from fans

South African musical sensation, Tyla, once again showed her star power when she stepped onto the Met Gala red carpet for the first-time.

Social media has been abuzz about the look she went for.

The theme for the 2024 Met Gala, which took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York last night, was Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.

The Grammy Award winner, decided to go with a ‘sand’ look and says the aim was to look different and unique for her first Met Gala.

Dressed in a nude looking Balmain dress, Tyla finished it off with a short bob hairstyle, some ‘sand’ looking like make up on her arm and hand and with a ‘sands of time’ clutch.

The strapless dress, which also had a glitter effect, was made to fit perfectly on the 21-year-old, who also had to be carried up the stairs as the dress restricted her movement.

However, that didn’t hold her back, as she looked elegant even as she was lifted to get to the top of the stairs.

 

Other notable celebrities who attended the Gala, include actress Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Hemsworth, Ariana Grande, Lana Del Rey and chart-topping rapper Doja Cat.
