Sifiso Mkhwanazi (21) has admitted to the murder of six women in Johannesburg.
Mkhwanazi appeared in the high court sitting in Palm Ridge on Friday.
He was arrested in October 2022 after the body of a woman was discovered at a panel-beating building belonging to his father, in the Johannesburg CBD.
Upon further investigations, five more decomposed bodies were discovered at the same building.
It has been revealed that all the six women were Zimbabwean nationals.
Mkhwanazi, through his lawyer, detailed how he murdered these women by strangling and suffocating them.

The 21-year-old has, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge of rape – saying he had consensual sex with the women before killing them.
The state has, however, argued that Mkhwanazi should be charged with pre-meditated murder and rape.
This resulted in his plea bargain proposal falling flat, as the state seeks to lead evidence suggesting that all the killings were calculated.
NPA spokesperson, Phindi Mjonondwane, says the state remains confident that it has enough evidence to support the allegations of pre-meditated murder and rape.
The matter will return to the high court for trial on Monday (5 February 2024).
Mkhwanazi’s father and the caretaker of the building where the bodies were found will testify in the matter.
