Yires have been warned to stay hydrated and out of the sun as a heatwave hits the country.
The scorching weather is expected to persist until Sunday.
Speaking to Ynews weather forcaster, Lehlonolo Thobela, says temperatures are expected to hit the high 30s in some areas, with highs of 35 degress celcius.
Thobela is urging South Africans to be cautious.
