South Africans can expect warmer conditions over the country this week.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) says the conditions will be hotter in certain parts of the country reaching a maximum of 40 degrees Celsius.
Gauteng will be fine and warm and no precipitation is expected for the week.
Weather forecaster, Lehlohonolo Thobane, says these warm conditions will carry on for the rest of the week leading to the weekend.
“Gauteng seems to be warm throughout the week, with hot and cool conditions expected over the southern parts of Gauteng on Wednesday and Thursday.”
Johannesburg will experience highs of 29 degrees Celsius, whilst Pretoria will reach highs of 30.
