Natasha Joubert crowned Miss SA 2023

Gauteng born 26-year-old, Natasha Joubert, has been crowned Miss South Africa 2023.

Joubert takes over the reins from Limpopo’s finest, Ndavi Nokeri.

Joubert was crowned at the prestigious event held at the Sun International SunBet Arena at Time Square in Pretoria on Sunday.

She becomes the first to wear the glittering new Mowana โ€œTree of Lifeโ€ crown from Nungu Diamonds.

This year’s pageant was judged by an incredible panel, including the reigning Miss Universe Rโ€™Bonney Nola Gabriel and four other leading South African personalities, Leandie du Randt, Thuso Mbedu, Devi Sankaree Govender and Jo-Ann Strauss.

Joubert previously entered the pageant and landed in the top 3 in 2020, where Shudufazho Musida was crowned Miss SA.

The BCom Marketing Management graduate is also a fashion designer and owner of Natalia Jefferys.

In her acceptance speech , Joubert says as she steps into this new role , she is filled with a sense of responsibility to make a positive difference in the world.

“I pledge to use this platform to advocate for the causes close to my heart and to be a source of inspiration for others.

Entrepreneurship lies at the heart of innovation and economic growth. It is the driving force that propels nations forward, creating jobs, nurturing creativity, and fostering a spirit of resilience,” says Joubert.

Twenty-six-year-old Bryoni Govender, was crowned first runner-up, and 25-year-old Nande Mabala from the Western Cape is the second runner-up.
