A suspected case of reckless and negligent driving is being investigated after two buses collided on Kingsway Road in Auckland Park today.
At least 77 people were injured in the horrific accident near the University of Johannesburg’s Auckland Park campus.
Fortunately, no fatalities have been recorded.

The university says 19 of the institution’s students are among the 77 injured.
“Three students were taken to a local hospital while 16 others are receiving counselling on campus.”
University’s spokesperson, Masego Panyane, says the institution’s Centre for Psychological Services and Career Development (PsyCaD) has also set up counselling services to support affected students.
The university says it will do everything it can to ensure that the students receive the necessary medical care and counselling.
