Orlando Pirates have announced the departure of Nigerian defender, Olisa Ndah, on the final day of the January transfer window.
Ndah’s contract with the Soweto giants was due to expire at the end of the season but the club has now revealed that the player requested an early release, to allow him time to secure clearance before the transfer window closed on Thursday evening.
In a statement, Pirates said the decision was reached by mutual agreement.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm that the Club has reached a mutual agreement with defender Olisa Ndah to part ways,” the statement read.
“The Nigerian international requested an early release from his contract, a decision that follows careful and respectful discussions between the player and the Club’s management. Central to these conversations was a shared understanding to afford Ndah the opportunity to secure regular game time elsewhere as he enters the next phase of his career.”
Thank You, Ndah!
