Jelly Babie apologises after costly blunder

Pretoria-based artist and Tik-Tok Influencer, known as Jelly Babie, has apologised to South African Supermarket, Big Save, following a brief, yet cringe-worthy incident, in which she was involved in with one of the company’s employees.

In a video that blew up on social media, one of the supermarket’s cashiers is seen arguing with the Tik-Tok Influencer, whose real name is Karabo Khakhu.

In it, Jelly Babie can be distinctly heard hurling uncouth utterings to the cashier – calling her “lastag”.

As the video went viral, cancel culture also almost immediately reared its ugly head, with at least 90% of her social media followers ditching her.

A beauty parlour also terminated its partnership with immediate effect, saying her behaviour contradicts what the organisation stands for.
