Social media users are rallying behind pop star Sabrina Carpenter after the White House hit back at her criticism over the use of her music.

The controversy erupted when the White House posted a video of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrests set to Carpenter’s hit Juno. The clip even quoted her lyric, “Have you ever tried this one? Bye-bye,” a line she famously used on tour to introduce a dance routine.

The 26-year-old quickly took to X, warning the administration: “Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.”

Her post sparked a wave of online support, with fans condemning the White House for using her music without consent.

White House spokesperson, Abigail Jackson, quickly hit back, saying they will not apologize.

The White House’s harsh response has only strengthened Carpenter’s support base.

She is not the only artist to speak out against the Trump administration. Olivia Rodrigo also criticized the White House for using one of her songs in a post that critics described as “racist, hateful propaganda” promoting self-deportation messaging.

Jess Glynne has also publicly stated that her music, which promotes love and unity, should never be used to support divisive political messaging.

Other artists, including Beyoncé and The Rolling Stones, have previously objected when their songs were used in government or political campaign materials without consent.
