Fans divided as Cardi B and Nicki Minaj feud reignites

Fans of American rap stars, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj, have once again found themselves divided, as the artists’ long-standing feud recently reignited and escalated to the point where both took aim at each other’s children.

The rivalry, which began in 2017 during Cardi B’s breakout success with ‘Bodak Yellow’, flared up again recently when the ‘Starships’ hitmaker Nicki Minaj took aim at the sales of Cardi’s latest album, ‘Am I The Drama?’, in a series of now-deleted tweets on X.

In the seemingly provocative posts, Minaj implied that Cardi’s album sales were artificially inflated — a jab that didn’t go unanswered.

Cardi, never one to back down, fired back by accusing Minaj of acting tough only online, daring her to repeat her words in person.

Why you keep bringing up my album?? It’s not the gag that you think it is..You been in the game like 16 years.. you need to compare yourself to YOUR peers that started around YOUR time. Rihanna, Taylor swift, Drake…those are the numbers you need to be competing wit and you can’t…

The two US superstars continue to trade jabs both on social media and through their music, with accusations ranging from sabotage and inflated sales to jabs at each other’s parenting.

Social media users supporting Cardi have mocked Minaj, with some labeling her a hypocrite.
