Social media is buzzing with praise for South African music sensation Tyla, after she showcased her rap skills on Cardi B’s new track Nice Guy.
The viral reaction comes just hours after Cardi dropped her latest album, “AM I THE DRAMA?”, which has already earned positive reviews from critics.
On the single, Tyla not only captivates with her sultry vocals but also impresses fans with her rhythmic flow and catchy bars.
The album also features some of the biggest names in music, including Summer Walker, Selena Gomez, Kehlani, Lizzo, Tyla, Cash Cobain, Janet Jackson, and Megan Thee Stallion.
The “Push to Start” hitmaker collaborating with Cardi B marks another major milestone in her already incredible journey.
The Johannesburg-born singer has taken the world by storm since the release of her viral hit “Water”. The song earned her a Grammy for Best African Music Performance.
Earlier this month, she once again made history, becoming the only African artist to win an award at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).
The 23-year-old clinched the ‘Best Afrobeats’ award for her global hit single “Push to Start”, marking her second consecutive win in the category. Tyla triumphed over notable nominees including Tems, Burna Boy, and Wizkid – further cementing her status as a rising force in the global music scene
She also made history yesterday for selling out the iconic SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, after the it reached its 20 000 capacity – becoming the first African artist to achieve the feat.
This forms part of her Asia tour which she will begin in November this year.
Fans have since flooded X with admiration, hailing her versatility and celebrating the breakout star’s latest achievement.
Ms. Tyla! Tap in! I am living for her versatility and vocal delivery. “Nice Guy” is definitely single worthy. I want more of this sound from Tyla. She and Cardi flowed really well together. #AmITheDrama pic.twitter.com/ehz7MMEvdr
