Tributes continue to pour in for renowned broadcaster and journalist, Tshidi Madia, who passed away today at the age of 42.
Her family confirmed the news, announcing that she died in hospital following a short illness.

Family spokesperson, Mahlatse Mahlase says the loss has left the family devastated.
“We are still shocked. Tshidi had been hospitalised only for a short period and with the fighter that we know her to be, we all truly believed that she would soon be back with us. However she passed away this morning,” says Mahlase.
She also expressed the family’ gratitude for the support they have received.
“We just want to say thank you for the love and support that we have received from South Africans since the news have become public,” she said.
Madia was widely respected for her fearless journalism. She won the hearts of many in May, when she appeared on a US-based news platform, challenging false claims about an alleged Afrikaner genocide in South Africa.
Various political organisations and prominent public figures across South Africa have also paid tribute to Madia, honouring her legacy and contribution to journalism.
