Social media users and entertainment industry players have expressed mixed reactions to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex trial split verdict, saying they are eagerly awaiting his sentencing.
The 55-year-old was found guilty on two charges of transportation for prostitution and was acquitted of more serious charges, including sex trafficking.
He will remain in custody until his sentencing.
The mixed verdict comes nearly 10 months after the music icon was arrested for allegedly running a criminal enterprise and of abusing, threatening, and coercing victims to “fulfill his sexual desires” for two decades.
Some Hollywood stars, including Diddy’s rival Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson joined the world as reaction to the news poured in.
The beef between the hip-hop artists began almost 20 years ago after 50 Cent released a diss track in 2006, accusing Diddy of knowing who murdered the late Notorious B.I.G.
Grammy-nominated singer, Kesha, also expressed support for Cassie.
Last year, Kesha revealed that she changed the lyric in her 2010 hit “TiKToK” from “feeling like P. Diddy” to “f*** P. Diddy,” following multiple allegations against Combs.
