Mamelodi Sundowns assistant coach, Steve Komphela, is counting on the international experience of their Bafana Bafana stars to lead them to their second CAF Champions League title this weekend.
Sundowns have a plethora of international stars with them making the bulk of the Bafana squad in recent years.
Sundowns are looking to overcome Pyramids in the second leg of CAF Champions League final with the game level at 1-1 from the first leg in Pretoria this past weekend.
“Sundowns is very experienced. We have been through rough terrains; we have people like Teboho Mokoena, Ronwen Williams, Khuliso Mudau and apart from being experience in club football, they come from the national team,” Komphela said.
“These players have impeccable international experience and exposure, so we’re not going to chicken out. We played in Morocco and were courageous, we went to Al Ahly and were courageous,” he added. Written by Ntsako Mkhari
