Some South Africans have slammed Moja Love as hypocritical after announcing the return of Xolani ‘X’ Khumalo for Season 4 of Sizokthola.
The TV channel confirmed his comeback in a statement released this morning.
This follows the provisional withdrawal of charges against Khumalo, pending further investigation.
The anti-drug activist and presenter found himself on the wrong side of the law in July 2023, while filming an episode of the popular anti-drug show.
During the shoot, suspected drug dealer Robert Varrie died after allegedly being assaulted by Khumalo and his crew.
The TV channel sacked Khumalo a few months later, sparking public anger even then.
While Khumalo has expressed gratitude for the opportunity to return, many on social media are urging him to decline the offer, accusing the channel of abandoning him when he needed their support most.
The social rights activist had previously also expressed disappointment with Moja Love for ditching him at his lowest.
Khumalo has however, through his foundation confirmed that the statement made by Moja Love was released without prior consultation.

Xolani Khumalo was the first guy to expose Home Affairs officials for corruption and go to Sunnyside, Hillbrow and Kempton by exposing Drug Dealers.
Government never supported him, why? Some of them are bribed with drug money pic.twitter.com/873Nbgys9jβ Lerato Pillay πΏπ¦ππΏπ¦ (@nyebe_official) March 1, 2025
