The family and friends of 27-year-old, Zakithi Ndaba, are appealing for help in finding her boyfriend, Aviwe Poswa, who is alleged to be on the run after gunning her down.
Poswa is believed to be the last person who saw her alive at her apartment in Sunninghill, Johannesburg, on Friday.
The mother of one was found fatally shot on Saturday by a security guard from her complex.
Her family had apparently reached out to complex management after they weren’t able to reach her.
Poswa’s whereabouts are currently unknown and South Africans are urged to alert the police or Ndaba’s family should they spot him.
Ndaba, who hails from Ladysmith in KwaZulu-Natal, was a qualified chef. She had also studied journalism and media studies.
According to her friend, Busisiwe Gcali, she loved cooking, which inspired her to start her sauce selling business, IntombiZakithi.
“Zakithi had a daughter. She leaves behind a beautiful daughter. Kodwa namhlanje akaseko ngexaka ka Aviwe Poswa. She was killed and left in cold blood in her apartment in Johannesburg, The Apollo. He left her there and ran!,” cries out Gcali in her Facebook post.
Ndaba’s death has sparked fresh calls for stricter measures against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF).
