Some Sjava fans are breathing a sigh of relief after songstress, Amanda Black, refuted claims that she was sexually assaulted by the “Uyena” hitmaker.
The rumours began after an old tweet, purportedly from Amanda Black, resurfaced – claiming that Sjava raped her.
In an Instagram post, the “Amazulu” hitmaker said she doesn’t know where the hearsay came from.
While some speculate that Amanda Black is hesitant to speak out, fearing she could be cancelled like Lady Zamar, others believe there is a deliberate effort to tarnish Sjava’s reputation.
In 2020, musician Lady Zamar opened a rape case against Sjava, alleging he raped her at a hotel in Thohoyandou after the Royal Heritage festival in September 2017.
However, the court dismissed the case due to a lack of evidence to support a successful prosecution.
The resurfacing of Amanda Black’s tweet has angered Sjava’s fans, with some claiming that just as his career is peaking, there are individuals trying to bring him down.
