As the severe weather conditions continue to wreak havoc in the country, residents have been advised to exercise caution in their homes and while driving.
Infrastructure has been destroyed, leaving some people displaced and some without their cars, among other things.
On Wednesday, Gauteng was heavily affected by heavy rain that left roads flooded, and some cares submerged.
Some videos even showed rivers overflowing and some people said they have been left without electricity.

Speaking to Ynews, Naked Insurance co-founder, Ernest North, has advised motorists to rather wait out the rain instead of placing themselves in compromising situations.
The South African Weather Service issued a Yellow level 2 warning on Thursday, with the inclement weather expected to last for the rest of the week.

Joburg EMS said it remains on high alert, advising motorists to avoid crossing flooded roads/low lying bridges.
Homeowners and tenants have been urged to ensure that their properties are able to withstand the damaging weather conditions.
North gave some advice for homeowners to prevent further losses in their home.
He says people need to ensure that they are well informed about their insurance policies to be able to claim seamlessly, if needed.
