Media personality, Somizi Mhlongo, has found himself at the centre of a heated public dispute with businessman and promoter, ‘ManB’ Tyekana, who has accused the renowned choreographer of unprofessionalism.

The drama began when Somizi was booked by ManB for an event in East London. Things took an unexpected turn when the 52-year-old seemingly used the opportunity to attend another gig he was also booked for in the province, raising eyebrows in the process.

ManB wasted no time in taking to social media to voice his frustrations, accusing Somizi of scamming him and using him as a stepping stone.

“I used to respect Somizi, I used to love Somizi, but what he did, I hate him from today. I will slap him when I get him. He stole from me!” ManB raged in his post.

The businessman further claimed that he had paid for Somizi’s flights, accommodation, and his MCing services, only to be left feeling betrayed.

In response, Somizi denied the allegations, saying that he had personally covered the costs for his flights, accommodation, and Uber rides.

He firmly defended his actions on a social media post.

“I’m one of the most professional people in this industry. The other event I attended was one where I was actually paid to promote it. It was a paid gig, not a side hustle,” Somizi stated, further elaborating on the situation.

The media mogul didn’t stop there, he also criticised the organisation of ManB’s event, saying: “It’s just that artists will never speak out. All the artists who attended were unhappy. It was the most disorganised event I’ve ever been to.”

The situation has sparked intense debate on social media, with users split on who is at fault in this drama.
