Speculations swirl over Siyabonga Zulu’s death

 

As the football fraternity mourns the passing of two players over the weekend, some South Africans alleged that former Sundowns left-back Siyabonga Zulu’s baby mama, Gogo Maweni, could have possibly had a hand in his demise.

Zulu, who played for Phezulu FC in the ABC Motsepe League, had a child with Maweni, whose real name is Makgotso Mofokeng.

The 31-year-old passed away at the weekend alongside his teammate, Nhlanhla Masina, in a car accident that happened in Mpumalanga.

He’s previously also played for Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana.

Another Phezulu FC player, Thabo Mosadi, is understood to be in a critical condition at a local hospital.

The pregnant Gogo Maweni, who previously insinuated that she had bewitched him during an interview on MacG’s podcast, is also accused of having a hand in the downfall of her other baby daddy and actor, Sthembiso ‘SK’ Khoza.

To add fuel to the fire, Maweni took to social media a day after Zulu’s passing, posting about her day with husband Sabelo Mgube.

The lovebirds are on a trip to Dubai.

Some South Africans have, however, defended the traditional healer who is on trial for alleged assault, saying Zulu’s passing was just an accident.
