Nostalgia hits Destiny’s Child fans

Social media users were left with nostalgic feelings after the multi award winning Beyonce shared pictures with her friends and former bandmates, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

The ‘Cater to You’ hitmakers gathered together this week to celebrate Rowland’s 44th birthday in style.

Posting photos on Instagram, where they received more than two million likes, Bey captioned the post: “Birthday bestie.”

The group had 12 UK Top Ten singles between 1998 and 2005, with their last album, Destiny Fulfilled, released in 2004.

The trio, known for their music have over the years showed a close-knit friendship that has lasted despite all members taking different routes in their careers.

The official Destiny’s Child Instagram account also paid homage to Rowland’s special day, posting a gorgeous portrait of her alongside the cheeky caption: “It’s your birthday you don’t have to do nothin.”

The ladies’ reunion comes days after Williams shared details about the Destiny’s Child group chat, during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show.

Destiny’s Child was formed in 1990, in Texas, and has over the years paved the way for future female artists in an industry that was dominated by males.

With unique sound, accompanied by powerhouse vocals, striking choreography, and empowering messages, the singers became one of the much-loved artists that spoke to women across the world.

Songs such as ‘Survivor’, ‘Brown Eyes’, ‘Soldier’ and ‘Dangerously in Love’ are some of the songs that have captured fans for decades.

Fans expressed excitement and jubilation to see the trio together once again.
