2Baba’s family comes out in his defence, sparking fury

The family of Nigerian playboy musician, Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia, has come out in defense of the artist following backlash from some on social media users who are sympathising with his estranged wife, Annie Idibia.

The support for Annie comes after videos of the 49-year-old professing his love for his new partner, Natasha Osawaru, drew mixed reactions on digital platforms.

2Baba announced separation from his wife last month after a string of cheating allegations and her sticking by his side despite this. She even took the five children he sired outside their relationship as her own.

Despite this, however, not everyone is on her side, with some X users claiming that she too had been unfaithful.

Come on madam Vee! Tuface wasn’t the scandalous one in the marriage na! He had all the scandal before Annie and Annie had all th scandal in the marriage and never for once did he rebuke her. At least he’s seems happy! That want matters.

2Baba’s younger brother, Charlybrave, also recently took to social media to defend his brother’s honour, accusing Annie of creating a narrative of victimhood and causing conflict with those around her, including her in-laws.

In the video, he also talked about how the actress and reality TV star has allegedly been difficult to be a round.

The music legend’s mother, Rose Idibia, also took to social media asking her son’s new lover,  Natasha Osawaru, who is a politician, to leave her son alone. She is claiming that the 49-year-old isn’t thinking straight as he struggles to deal with his divorce.

She insinuated that his current partner might have used magic to lure him.

The video, which clearly intended well, has however sparked fury among some, who’ve denounced it as symbolic of the behavior of some mothers who protect and defend their sons even when they are in the wrong.

They say she is treating the 49-year-old like a child.
