Royal AM President, Shauwn Mkhize, has broken her silence over the South African Revenue Service’s takeover of the club, which led to a strike by players who furious over nonpayment.
The protest over the December pay forced the postponement of the team’s Betway Premiership fixture against Chippa United, which was scheduled for the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Saturday.

The club has since confirmed that a curator has been appointed to look into Mkhize’s financial affairs.
The socialite and businesswoman allegedly owes Sars R40m in tax.
“Royal AM wishes to address the situation regarding the nonpayment of salaries for December, affecting our players, technical team and staff,” the club said in a statement signed by the reality TV star.
