Media personality, Somizi Mhlongo, has sparked a social media stir after issuing a stern warning to beachgoers complaining about crowded beaches during December.
The influx of holidaymakers to the coast has led some social media users to express frustration about the prospect of congested and dirty beaches.
It hurts the most when itβs said by other black people π pic.twitter.com/jzxpsOa0I9

Cape Town residents are laming rowdy beach parties on social media.
They’ve posted several videos, showing young party goers blasting loud music and dancing into the night at popular hotspots like Clifton and Camps Bay beaches, which are considered affluent areas.
While these celebrations have long been met with disapproval from some locals, who complain about the noise and perceived decline in property value, Mhlongo argues that no one has the right to dictate how others should use the country’s beaches.
No man we need to be honest, this thing of cramping up at the beach in December, itβs really not healthy, the dirt, the crime and diseases. Like do people realise they can go to the beach in any other time they choose

So many people in one space. The anxiety would end me on the spot. pic.twitter.com/Rqi4ztLssD
LMAO. Some people just hate to see black people having fun. Those are PUBLIC beaches. Go buy you a house with a private beach. You do not own Camps Bay and Clifton beaches, South Africa does. Rest. https://t.co/EDwfNPaVcL
