Multi award winning artist, Chris Brown, says he will come back to South Africa following his sold out two-day concert over the long weekend.

Thousands of fans went to the FNB Stadium to catch a glimpse of the hitmaker and he didn’t disappoint.

Taking to social media, fans commended the star for giving them an amazing show, which showed off his vocals, dance moves reiterating that he is one of the greatest artists of this time.

People from all corners of Africa traveled to South Africa to witness the sensational Breezy live.

The 35-year-old singer, songwriter and performer on the second night even brought out African star, Davido, to share the stage with him.

South African artists, Major League DJs, Uncle Vinny and DJ Maphorisa, also took to the stage as fans waited with bated breath for Breezy to dazzle them.

And when the final moment arrived, the crowd also didn’t disappoint. The Breezy fans sang along to his hit songs, with many saying they will never forget the night.

He brought a lot to the performance, from the dancers, aesthetics. He was even hoisted and flew above the crowd onto a second stage.

The research on South Africa’s music taste that Breezy and his team put in for this concert was evident, with him performing everything from early classics like Yo (Excuse Me Miss), Run It!, Sensational, No Air feat Jordin Sparks and Don’t Judge me, Wall to Wall, amongst others.

American singer, Jordin Sparks shared her video – singing along to hers and Chris Brown’s hit song.

Many have described South Africans’ support for Brown, who is still frowned upon in some quarters for assaulting his then girlfriend, Rihanna, 15 years ago despite him having served five years’ probation and 1 400 hours of community service, as proof that talent and resilience will make room for a person no matter the challenges before them.

Organisations, such as Women For Change, wanted the two-day concert cancelled, saying allowing him into the country sends a harmful message to survivors of abuse in a country that has a high prevalence of Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

While some are still fuming at the fact that he was here and loved up, his fans are still on a high, praising him for professionalism and respecting the country’s culture by also infusing South Africa’s music and dance moves into his performance.
