The fall of controversial artist manager, Nhlamulo ‘Nota’ Baloyi, has sparked concern among some social media users over his recent actions.

While some suggest that he might be struggling with mental health issues, others have rubbished the concerns, saying he’s just too forward and likes attention.

Baloyi’s name is among the most respected people in the music industry. He has not only worked with big names in South Africa’s music scene, but also managed renowned artists like Senzo Vilakazi, affectionately known as Kwesta.

He is a former director at The Orchard, which is a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment. He also used to run his own company called, SoFet Urbantainment.

However, over the years, the former rapper seems to have lost his shine and has now become notorious on social media for his eyebrow raising comments and court appearances.

Just yesterday, the content creator was arrested while appearing for his rape case at the Randburg Magistrates Court.

He was sentenced to 60 days in prison for contempt of court in a matter involving rapper, Ntokozo Mdluli, popularly known as K.O, who had interdicted him from uttering statements that implicated him in AKA’s murder.

This means he will spend the festive season behind bars.

In true Baloyi fashion, he recorded a video and shared it on social media to show South Africans he had indeed to arrested.

The video has sparked concerns among many of his followers.

Baloyi, who has never shied away from starting discourse on social media, is infamous for one of his popular back-and-forth with, award-winning content creator and beauty influencer Mihlali Ndamase, which resulted to her being subjected to immense scrutiny and misogyny.

Others popular figures, including former DA MP, Phumzile van Damme, has also weighed in on the conversation, reflecting on how she too had been subjected to his “misogyny”.
