From going in and out of rehab, former Yizo Yizo actor, Innocent Masuku, is now using his dark past to motivate young people.
Masuku recently visited a local school in Gauteng and urged learners to never waste opportunities they’re given in life.
The 33-year-old expressed gratitude over the chance he was given as a child after a director encouraged him to stop being a petty thief.
Years later, he joined the hit show, Yizo Yizo in 1999, becoming one of the drama’s most popular characters, Bobo.
Yizo Yizo told raw stories of the challenges faced by black township high school learners, both from academic and personal levels.
