Social media have been abuzz following the news that former Miss South Africa, Zozibini Tunzi, will be one of the judges at the prestigious Miss Universe Vietnam pageant.
Tunzi, who many in Mzansi regard as the longest serving Miss Universe, will be at the 7th edition of the competition, which is set to take place tomorrow.
The announcement of her joining the competition, was shared on a post on Instagram.
The former Miss SA has been described as: “A black pearl from South Africa is favored by many viewers as a symbol of beauty due to its healthy physique and sweet smile.”
Th 30-year-old, who was invited by the president of the opulent Miss Universe Vietnam pageant, won the hearts of many in 2019 when she was crowned as the then reigning queen.
Despite her reign having come to an end close to five years ago, she has been described as a person who continues to make a strong impression on feminism and gender equality.
The pageant comes as Vietnam reels from the impact of Typhoon Yagi, which left at least 197 people dead, 128 missing and about 800 others injured.
South Africans have shared their congratulatory messages for Tunzi on X.
