Speaking to YNews, Mildred Ndlovu says that fateful day will forever be difficult one for the family, as they’re also still waiting for someone to be held liable for her son’s death.
According to the family, the teenager was allegedly dragged to the toilets and forced to drink something, which they suspected to be rat poison. The Grade 9 learner, however, had kept quiet about the incident, only to tell them when he started feeling stomach cramps.
Investigations by the school, however, found no evidence of bullying against the teenager, with the principal, Johan Lourens, rather insinuating that the teen might have taken his own life.

Dr Omar has encouraged parents and gradians to create environments that makes them comfortable to talk to them about anything and understand that they can always count on them.
She says parents need to educate children about their rights and what type of behaviour they should tolerate so they can speak up when being bullied.
According to the therapist, bullies always prey on children they know will not defend or speak out for themselves.
