Music lovers mourn loss of young artist

The music industry has been hit with yet another blow, following the passing of Sesotho hip-hop artist, Bokang Moleli, popularly known as Malome Vector.

The young Lesotho-born artist passed away in a horrific crash on the N1 near the Koppies off-ramp yesterday.

Authorities say two other people died in the crash, while two more were transferred to hospital.

The hip-hop artist was allegedly travelling from Gauteng towards Bloemfontein, on his way to shoot a music video in his home country of Lesotho.

South Africans were first introduced to the Lesotho-born artist through his song ‘Nobody’ after he was discovered signed by Ambitiouz Entertainment in 2020.

The ‘Stimela’ hitmaker’s leaves behind his wife, daughter, parents and siblings.

The multi-platinum-selling artist was popular songs like ‘Dumelang’, ‘Stimela’.

Award-winning artist from Blaq Diamond, Siphelele Dunywa, popularly known as ‘Danya Devs’ says the late Malome Vector took Sesotho music to new heights.

Speaking to YNews, Devs says the late 32 always prided himself in where he came from.
