The organisation changed tune a few hours after it informed YNews that operations will remain suspended after its talks with government had deadlocked.

The stalemate is allegedly over government’s decision to deploy busses on taxi routes.
Santaco’s Phaphama Zulu has told YNews their change of heart came after deliberating on the impact a second day without taxis will have on commuters.
He says they will continue talks with government without further inconveniencing commuters.
The strike had affected taxi users in Alberton, Daveyton, Tembisa, Vosloorus, Germiston and Benoni, among others.
Long queues snaking through taxi ranks in the metro were seen with some commuters saying the situation was so bad that they had to return home due to unaffordability of alternative transport options available to them.
